XP Tokens
What XP Tokens are, how to get them and what you can use them for.
XP Tokens are items that double the Viridia Rank XP earned in the city's Side Hustles for a set time, for every player in the city, not just you.
Getting XP Tokens
You can get XP Tokens by:
- Buying them on the Viridia store. Claim your purchase in game from the Shop in the Rewards tablet (
/rewards). - Receiving one from another player, as a gift or in a trade.
Using XP Tokens
| Token | What it does |

| One hustle (1, 2 or 4 hour tokens) | Use the token and pick a hustle: Golf Ball Washing, Bus Driving, Fishing, Metal Detecting, and more. Everyone in the city earns +100% XP in that hustle until the time runs out. |
| All Hustles (2 hour token) | All side hustles get +100% XP for everyone at the same time. |
Each time a token is used, every phone in the city gets an email mentioning the player who used it. Tick Stay anonymous if you'd rather it said "Someone" instead of your name.
Checking your tokens
- Tokens you've claimed but not taken out yet are in the Rewards Inventory in the Rewards tablet (
/rewards). - Press Send to inventory when you're ready to use one. After that it's a normal item in your pockets.
- Boosts running in the city, and how long they have left, are shown in the Hustles app on your phone.
Good to know
- Expiry: tokens don't expire. They wait in your Rewards Inventory or your pockets until you use them. Once used, the boost runs on a real-time clock, so plan to be online for it.
- Stacking: using a token on a hustle that's already boosted adds its time to the end of that boost, up to 10 hours ahead. A token that would go past 10 hours is refused, and you keep it.
- Limits: there's no cap on how many you can hold, apart from the space in your inventory.
- Trading: tokens can be given to or traded with other players. A token in your Rewards Inventory can't be stolen. Once you send it to your pockets, it's a normal item that can be lost or taken in roleplay, so only send it when you're about to use it.
- XP only: tokens boost XP, never what a hustle pays.
- XP Tokens have no real-world value and can't be exchanged for money.
